Today, with heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our League of Legends kings.
I enjoyed working with every player. They were humble, they were hungry, they were professional. Saying goodbye to League of Legends, at least for now, is very bittersweet. I wish we could’ve done more awesome things with the roster. I wish we could’ve shown the true power of KOVA to other Nordic competitors.. but unfortunately we need to face things with realism and this decision had to be done.
At the same time I’m happy to see that some of the players have already found new homes for themselves.
I still want to express my heartfelt gratitude to every player/coach/analyst I had the pleasure to work with. Only the best to you, kings.
– Timo Tarvainen, General Manager
We entered in League of Legends in May 2020 with five amazing Finnish players. They promised us they’ll be the best LoL-players in Finland, and they kept their promise as they won Telia Esports Series.

Our team also won Telia Masters tournaments and played for the spot in NLC. Unfortunately, the relegations didn’t go as planned, but in December we heard the good news: NLC wanted to see us there!
🔥 KOVA GOES #NLC ! 🔥
We could not be more excited to announce that we have been granted a spot in the #NLC !

Before our first NLC Split, we made some roster changes and welcomed Sermend “Outlandisch” Alhmawendi, Libor “Proker” Král and Dennis “CastielMid” Hoese to our team. Our hopes were high and our guys made us proud and secured a spot in play-offs. Even thought our split ended in play-offs, we were more than happy with our team and ready for the next split.
Our roster changed a bit for the Summer Split 2021. We warmly welcomed Anselmi “Simpli” Rintanen and Konstantinos “Arag0rne” Ziagkliavos. For the last split the competition turned out to be at a higher level than before, and unfortunately, even when our guys worked hard and made their best, it didn’t go as well as the Split before.
After the Summer split we heard the news: The ecosystem is going to change a lot, and we were exploring options to continue with LoL, but after careful thinking we decided that this was our time to go.
We would like to thank all our players and coaches and fans who have been a part of our journey. Maybe in the future we’ll meet at the Rift again.
